Berina Rice Terrace

A little family-run cafe on the road from Amed to Amlapura, that overlooks some of Bali's most stunning and least known rice terraces. This place is easy to miss, look out for the hand-made wooden sign, you need to walk a little down the stairs to find the actual cafe. Great for a quick coffee, tea, coconut or snack, their fried banana is really good. -
Tirta Gangga Palace

This royal Balinese palace on the slopes of Mount Agung is a great place to visit on your way to or from North-East Bali. It features a spectacular water palace, bathing pools and Hindu temple. We suggest making a 1.5 hour stop here, which allows you to use the bathing pools or grab some quick food, but a shorter 1 hour stop is enough to just explore the temple, palace and gardens. -
Lempuyang Temple
⏱ Suggested Stop Time: 120 min.
The Lempuyang temple with its iconic Gate of Heaven overlooking Mount Agung has lately become popular with Instagrammers as it is such a scenic place to take pictures. We suggest stopping here for two hours, as you will need to take a shuttle bus from the parking lot, and there might be queues before you are able to take the famous picture.
